Hello, Friends...I am still here!

Wow!  Where does the time go?  I will tell you....when you finally sit down for the night around 9:30, tired and drained, the last thing on my mind is blogging.  I won't lie, my fingertips have wanted to type fervently away at the life that is passing by, but then again...some nights I just want to call it a night!  Anyone relate?
So, while I have NOT been blogging....there is SOOOO much catching up to do.  I don't even think I can remember it all.  I mean, seriously, when eating dinner tonight, I looked at Matt and had to ask him if it was this morning that He left for work early?  Long days, but short weeks.  make any sense?
Life in the Carrington household has been anything but calm and quite and serene.  Quite the opposite, and you know what?  I like it!  so, here goes....

Avery is walking.  Yes, she walks like Frankenstein with her stiff straight legs, but she is doing it.  I had visions of me carrying her when she was 5, so I was thankful she finally started to walk.  It has been a long, trying, exhausting road, but we got there, and right after her 2 nd birthday.  She is truly a walking miracle and we give God all the glory.

My older boys got baptized.  we had an impromptu baptism ceremony at church the Sunday after Easter and Wills and Owen made the decision to profess their faith in Jesus Christ.  It was one of my favorite days ever.

Soccer wrapped up for Gray...praise Jesus!  That was painful.  He is such an athletic kid, but he wasn't too into "into" soccer.  All I can say is he LOVED the gear, but never really cared to kick the ball---EVER!  Matt and I could not figure it out when he would randomly just fall down.

Kate is wrapping up her Kindergarten year.  She had a school play (that we have seen for the third year in a row)  I knew all the line myself.  It was fun to watch our little girl up on stage though.  Much different than when the boys have had plays...she was much more animated and kept eye contact with me pretty much the whole time.   Just singing her heart out, doing all the hand motions and smiling so big!

We got a puppy!  Yep!  Somehow I convinced Matt to let us get a dog.  Seriously, I found one in the paper on Saturday morning, begged all weekend and finally got the go ahead on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.  Me, Wills and Owen hopped in the car, drove to Jasper and picked up our adorable Australian Shepherd who we now call.....Harper and I LOVE HER!!!

Lacrosse is over---PTL on that one too!  I love it.  Owen loved it.  He got really good at it, but it was a big commitment.  2 practices during the week and 2 games on the weekend.  Overall a very good experience and we will play again.

Wills is still in baseball.  The park has been so much fun for our family.  We have had some really good family time this Spring because we are always watching some sort of event.
We are wrapping up with the tourney this week.  They are in 2nd place so I am excited for the Cardinals.

My boot camp has taken off and it has been so much fun for me.  I feel so blessed that the Lord has given me this opportunity to be something other than mom for an hour out of the day.  I love teaching and training people to become stronger!  It has been a great little business for me.

I think that is it for now....my bed is beckoning me to come get some sleep....I think I will succumb to the pressure!  I know that tomorrow I will wake up and start all over again....kind of like groundhog day, the movie!
More days than not, I welcome the predicable, fast paced, life of a mom of 5!  It is a blessing when you know that you are doing exactly what the Lord called you to do.....but, for the record, Lord!  I am pretty positive "mom of FIVE" is good for me! Phew.....good night for now and thanks for listening!
